Dans son roman Casalinghitudine (1987), un livre de recettes autobiographique, Clara Sereni utilise la nourriture comme un langage extra-verbal. Il s’agit dans cet article d’analyser la fonction structurante de ce langage, en montrant qu’il permet de mettre de l’ordre dans un vécu apparemment chaotique tout en lui donnant du sens. Ce faisant, l’autrice surmonte sa crise identitaire et parvient à assumer son identité multiple. In her novel Casalinghitudine (1987), an autobiographical cookbook, Clara Sereni uses food as an extra-verbal language. This article analyses the function of this language as a structuring element that allows her to bring order to an apparently chaotic experience while giving it meaning. By doing so, the author overcomes her identity crisis and manages to reconcile her different and diverging identities.
